Hand Safety & The 4th Of July

The 4th of July in the United States is a time for calibration.  It is customary to have picnics, BBQs, and parties.  And at night, fireworks.  All of these combine for a very fun time and lots of excitement. Unfortunately, many people are injured on the 4th of July.  Some cut their fingers while preparing for their picnic or BBQ, some burn their hands while grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, and some burn or otherwise injure their hands from the improper use of fireworks. People sometimes don’t take hand injuries seriously. But this is a serious matter.  People have had their entire hand removed by fireworks and there is no need for this. We all work with our hands and keeping our hands safe while we work and play should be a priority, but often people fail to realize how easy it is to injury our hands.
